• Develop design strategies, principles, and guidelines that drive innovation of the UI framework, information architecture, and overall user experience

• Serve as creative strategy lead by defining, approving and enforcing the web site’s creative look & feel, content, photography, interaction copy, information design, and navigation with best practices and standards

• Manage interaction, visual design, and usability teams and limited outside agencies as necessary while balancing hands-on independent creative contributions

• Own and drive design principles into all customer interaction points, including all products and services (free services, web site interaction and design, subscription services, online store, etc.) across all platforms

Position Requirements

• At least five to eight years experience as an Art/Creative Director or Design Manager for consumer related site or application

• Proven experience driving art direction for a blue chip consumer-focused company with top-level aesthetic design

• Exceptional design skills across web, desktop application, mobile and 10’ UI platforms, including interaction models and design metaphors
<br>
• Proven supervisory skills and ability to successfully manage and motivate design teams under tight deadlines
<br>
• Strong ability to understand customers from a user-centered design perspective
<br>
• Ability to conceptualize and define UI designs with aesthetic appeal and strong usability
<br>
• Expert individual design skills and ability to create original art. Expert knowledge of multimedia and design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML, etc.
